Invisalign Lite – Straighter Teeth in as Little As 3 Months

Invisalign Lite is a fast solution to treat minor and mild smile imperfections within Invisalign’s product portfolio—and it’s the same as Invisalign’s original system.

Invisalign’s Lite system is the go-to clear aligner on the market for correcting and realigning minor dental problems like mild crowding, badly positioned teeth and tiny gaps between teeth in three to six months.

If you suffer from any of these problems, then Invisalign Lite might just be the solution you need and who better to seek treatment with than our trusted Platinum Providers of Invisalign and expert orthodontists at one of our three practices in Burgess Hill, Tunbridge Wells or Brighton? Book a consultation with an orthodontist.

Will Invisalign Lite be effective for your case?

Invisalign Lite treatment profile:

  • Treatment length: 3-6 months
  • Treatment cost: From £2,990
  • Monthly cost: From £249.16 pm (0%)
  • Number of aligners: Uses around 14 aligner trays
  • Suitable for: One arch or two arches

While amazing, Invisalign Lite is not the right fit for all orthodontic cases.

It’s not suitable for patients requiring more complex or difficult adjustments.

For example, if your problem is moderate to severe, defined usually by class II malocclusions like overbites, then you might be better off with more extensive system versions like Invisalign Full.

Book your first consultation. We’re orthodontists, which means we know better than any other type of dentist how to straighten teeth.

Invisalign Lite is for patients who require mild to moderate corrections:

Invisalign Lite corrects:

  • Diastema or tiny spaces/gaps between teeth
  • Minor/slight overcrowding on a small number of teeth
  • Crooked front teeth or incisors
  • Slight misalignment between the upper and lower jaws
  • Teeth located in the wrong position

We don’t expect our patients to understand over the internet which type of Invisalign will be perfect for straightening their smile. In fact, Invisalign might not be the most suitable clear aligner system. So, book a consultation to help find the right version or orthodontic solution and simultaneously gain an accurate view of costs, processes, and treatment timelines.

Stages of treatment and Invisalign Lite process

Invisalign Lite Procedure

  1. Consultation with specialist orthodontists and Platinum Providers of Invisalign, who will assess your oral health, teeth and bite to see what type of Invisalign you’ll be most suitable for and see the best results with.
  2. During your consultation, we’ll take digital impressions and moulds of your teeth with a 3D scanner. These will outline how your teeth will move during each step of treatment. You’ll even get to see how your final smile will appear.
  3. Your custom aligners are made off-site in an Invisalign lab, and you’ll receive your first few sets within a few weeks.
  4. Your aligners arrive at our practice, and you’ll be invited to pick them up and learn more about wearing them and caring for them. You’ll then have to wear them for the allotted time and swap them out weekly.

Our consultations cost £85, covering the cost of your initial 3D digital scans and impressions and assessing your overall oral health and suitability for Invisalign. Book one here.

Invisalign Lite FAQs

Learn how the Invisalign Lite version differs from the other types of Invisalign and how it will work

Invisalign Lite vs Full

Since its initial release in the ’90s, Invisalign treatment has advanced to treat severe and complex cases. It has several products in its portfolio targeted for different types of misalignments and malocclusions.

While Invisalign Lite and Invisalign Full use the same aligners, they differ in the number of aligners used and how long treatment will need to be.

The differences:

  • Grade of correction: Invisalign Lite focuses on Class I malocclusions or mild to moderate bite problems, like slight crowding. Invisalign Comprehensive addresses Class II malocclusions and more complex bite problems like overbites and underbites, which is why Invisalign Lite is faster.
  • Number of aligner trays: As Invisalign Lite addresses moderate smile concerns, it needs only 10-15 aligner trays, whereas with Invisalign Comprehensive, it’s unlimited and uses as many as necessary.
  • Treatment duration: As Invisalign Lite uses fewer aligners, the treatment is shorter, taking six or seven months to complete, whereas Invisalign Comprehensive can take 12-18 months to achieve results.

Benefits of Invisalign Lite

  • More comfortable – aligners designed to fit your teeth and gums perfectly
  • Minimally invasive – involving no surgery, injection or anaesthetic
  • Discreet, invisible, transparent and practically undetectable
  • No lifestyle changes or restrictions on diet or activities
  • Removable for up to two hours per day

Is Invisalign Go the same as Invisalign Lite?

Invisalign Go is only really only available to general dental practitioners, so in our case, as specialists, we only offer the Lite version of the system, which is similar in how it works.
