Pay monthly from £165.83 pm

Adult braces in the UK can cost anywhere from £1,500 to £5,000, depending on the type of treatment you choose, whether it’s clear aligners or fixed braces.

As a rule of thumb, the less extensive your crooked teeth, crowding, misalignment or bite problem, the cheaper your brace treatment will be.

As a specialist orthodontist, we offer a wide range of adult brace solutions for patients. However, most are case-specific, so they’re only suitable for certain malocclusions and bite problems.

To know which type will be most suitable for you, either click the links to learn more or book a consultation with specialist Dr Woodhouse, who can identify the right system that will be the most effective, not to mention the fastest type of brace to achieve your smile goals and bring your bite back into harmony.

Choices for payment

How to pay for braces

Patients can pay for their treatment in multiple ways. One option is to pay monthly instalments, another via dental insurance, and another in full or part-paying.

Patients who pay in full can expect to pay 50% of the treatment after their consultation and a further 50% once we fit the braces.

By part-paying, patients can also pay 50% of their treatment cost and then finance the remainder. If your treatment plan exceeds £1,000, you can still pay via 0% dental finance.

If you have dental insurance, you should check with your provider about what’s covered in your plan. You might be able to pay for adult braces with insurance.

Are braces on the NHS an option?

Can you get braces on the NHS as an adult?

Braces are only provided for free via the NHS for patients under 18 who meet certain criteria based on the severity of their orthodontic problem. However, it’s possible that certain cases can be reviewed and accepted for certain health reasons. However, typically, adult patients must seek treatment from private dentists to straighten their teeth.
