Fixed invisible braces for more discreet straightening

Less visible than traditional metal braces

Clear braces are either clear or tooth-coloured, making them virtually invisible.

The ceramic brackets are attached to teeth with a wire running through them, which can also be tooth-coloured, to help guide the teeth into correct alignment.

Types of clear braces, which are fixed, include treatments like Cfast and Six Month Smiles, which use tooth-coloured or clear brackets to make cosmetic changes to your teeth. Ceramic braces, in this case, are a little stronger because they are fixed in place with wires.

However, treatment is not always faster using ceramic braces, as the ceramic material is not as strong as metal. This results in slower treatment times, around 18-36 months.

The treatment time ultimately depends on the severity of your bite or crowding problem.

Clear braces cost (ceramic braces cost)

The cost of ceramic braces is from £1,645 for a single arch or £3,290 for dual arch treatment. Using 0% dental finance over 12 months, patients can split the cost of their treatment into manageable monthly payments as low as £137.08 per month (no additional cost of credit/APR). No deposit is required.

Metal braces vs white braces

Ceramic braces are a popular choice for adults aged 18 and over.

Clear ceramic braces work the same way as traditional metal braces – however, they’re more discreet because they feature ceramic tiles instead of metal brackets, which are white, so they blend in with your teeth better.

Patients generally also report better comfort wearing ceramic braces than metal ones. This is because the high-quality materials are not abrasive, so they won’t irritate lips or gums.

However, some patients opt only for metal braces instead of white braces because they’re more affordable.
