Find out moreWhat are dental implants?
If you’re missing one or more teeth and long to fill the gap in your smile, dental implants provide a highly superior and natural-looking restoration. They are an exciting prosthodontic option, able to replace a lost tooth in every way, from the artificial root to a custom porcelain dental crown.
The implant itself is a small titanium post that successfully integrates with your jawbone, anchoring it in place and providing a solid foundation for a replacement tooth on top. Dental implants are the most stable and long-term option, offering full function and able to be fitted without weakening or damaging your other teeth. Eat, speak and smile with confidence!
Book an appointmentWhat does the treatment involve?
1To begin your dental implants journey, we see you for a consultation in our specialist practice. We assess your case and discuss the treatment process needed in order to achieve your dream results.
2We take advanced 3D scans to gain a detailed picture of your jaw and check the quality of the jawbone. This also helps us determine whether any pre-implant procedures are required to ensure the best results. We create your treatment plan and outline the next steps.
3The small titanium implant screw is placed into your jaw during a surgical appointment. We use local anaesthetic to minimise any discomfort, and can offer sedation if needed. Once fitted, the implant begins to fuse and heal into the bone, a process that takes approximately three months.
4When your implant has successfully healed, we fit the abutment, the connecting piece between the implant and crown. Your high-quality, beautifully designed porcelain crown is then made to your unique specifications and fitted in place, blending perfectly into your smile.

FAQs
The cost of dental implants varies depending on the number of implants needed and the complexity of the case. Single implants, inclusive of the abutment and final crown, start from £2800 at our dental practice in Sussex. We offer the chance to spread the cost of treatment with our finance options, subject to status*. We also always give you a personalised quote at consultation stage. Please talk to us for more information and a further breakdown of your costs.
Fitting your dental implant is a relatively quick procedure, typically taking around an hour and placed chairside using local anaesthetic. The total procedure is split into two stages, with temporary crowns placed to protect your gum between appointments.
You shouldn’t find dental implants, or the procedure needed to fit them into your jaw, painful. The procedure is completed using local anaesthetic to keep you comfortable throughout. Sedation is also available if you are feeling nervous or worried. In straightforward cases, the implant can be placed in as little as one hour.
As the titanium implant is physically inserted into your jaw, it can remain there without issue for up to 20 years, and even has the potential to last for a lifetime. Dental implants are made from highly durable titanium to provide lasting stability and function.
Most people are suitable for dental implants, as long as they are in good general and oral health and have sufficient bone volume in their jaw. If you are interested in teeth implants, you need to have a consultation with Dr Wadher to determine your suitability and get your treatment started. Consultations with Dr Wadher are £175, and include a CT scan worth £200.
No, placing an implant for every missing tooth is not always necessary. If you have two missing teeth next to each other, we can often use one implant to replace both of these, saving you the cost for an additional implant. Implant-retained bridges and dentures and All-on-4 treatment use two, three or four implants for best results.
Being a specialist dental clinic means we employ prosthodontists who specialise their field, creating durable and life-like prostheses such as dental implants, bridges, crowns and dentures. You couldn’t be in better hands! We are proud to be highly regarded and love helping our patients achieve new teeth and a full smile.
