Step 1: Meet your implant specialist

We look forward to welcoming you to Neyo! Our priority is to listen to you and understand any concerns you may have. We will take a detailed record of your mouth and gums, using our Orthophos S 3D by Sirona, a CBCT machine that uses cutting-edge technology to provide a highly accurate 3D image at a low radiation dose. We offer a 100% 12-month guarantee on all dental implants at Neyo.

Step 2: Your personalised treatment plan

Using your detailed assessment, we will create your bespoke treatment plan, taking into account your needs and preferences. You will receive a detailed report, outlining all the information relevant to your treatment. If you have been referred to us, your regular dentist will also receive this report.

Step 3: Surgical treatment

Most implant treatments start by removing any decayed, infected or broken teeth. We will allow your body to heal after this, which usually takes 6-12 weeks. At this stage, the foundation of the dental implant is placed under the gum. You will feel a sensation of pressure with water and gentle vibrations, but this is not painful and recovery typically only takes 2-7 days.

Step 4: Prosthetic treatment

Once the foundation of the implant is placed under your gum, we will allow your body to heal around it, which usually takes 8-12 weeks. After this, we will check the implant to make sure it is stable and create your aesthetic replacement tooth. If you have been referred to us, your regular dentist will usually take over at this stage to finish your treatment.

Step 5: Maintenance plan

When there is a complication with a dental implant it can be difficult to correct. We recommend you see a hygienist regularly to maintain healthy implants, and it is also essential to have your implants specifically checked by a specialist so any problems can be caught early. We will be able to discuss the maintenance plans available at Neyo with you.
