Joyce Esguerra Hicban

There isn’t much about dentistry that Joyz, our manager doesn’t know.

Since qualifying as a dentist back home in the Philippines in 1997, Joyz has been helping patients get access to high quality dental treatments.

Joyz moved to the UK in 2003 working as a surgical assistant before moving on to become a practice manager for 18 years in Brighton. She has established herself as a key figure in the local dental community and is the registered CQC manager for Brighton and Hove out of hours Emergency Dental Service which she has now managed for more than 12 years. It is here where she met Yogi and Neil, who were once enthusiastic employees of the Emergency Dental Service.

Joyz is well known for her positive attitude and enthusiasm towards dentistry. She uses her own practical experience combined with her exceptional communication skills and kind nature to expertly advise and guide patients on their treatment journey.

Outside of work, Joyz is a keen sportswoman and has competed in bike rides, walking challenges, marathons and ultramarathons raising thousands of pounds to various charities.

She lives in Brighton with her husband, their grown-up children and Zuko the cat.
