Neil Woodhouse

Neil has been a leading Invisalign provider for over 10 years and enjoys using this appliance for cosmetic alignment of teeth, and for more advanced, complex orthodontic problems. Neil also uses a wide range of orthodontic appliances including clear ceramic braces, metal braces, Forsus™ Spring, expanders and many more. Neil has practiced orthodontics all over the world. He qualified as a dentist from the University of Newcastle in 2005. He then spent 4 years in general practice, before taking on a job in the Oral and Maxillofacial surgery department at the Royal Sussex County Hospital.

In 2010, he began his 3 years specialist training in Orthodontic at Guys Hospital, London and the children’s hospital in Brighton. During this time, he was awarded a distinction in his MSc in Orthodontics and was awarded the Philip Walther prize for obtaining the highest mark. After being awarded the Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2013, Neil was entered onto the GDC’s specialist register for orthodontics.

From 2013 to 2019 Neil was lead clinician and specialist orthodontist at Grosvenor House Orthodontic Practice in Tunbridge Wells. During this time, he was awarded the Chapman Prize from the British Orthodontic Society for his research into accelerated tooth movement. He then left for Australia where he worked for Hunter Valley Orthodontics until the end of 2021. This role helped develop his experience in treatment of complex malocclusions using a huge variety of appliances not normally offered on the NHS in the UK.

Since returning from Australia Neil has been focused on co-founding Neyo Dental Specialists. He lives in Tunbridge Wells with his wife and three children, dog, and cat. He loves sports, guitars, snowboarding and he also provides advice and support to a Tunbridge Wells based mental health business.
