Lost a tooth for the first time, or had a gap for a while, now you’re considering replacing it?

Well, it’s good that you’re looking into dental implants, because they really are the best long-term option for single tooth loss.

But being the best solution for tooth loss comes at a price.

It’s a fact that single dental implants are the most expensive option compared to traditional alternatives, such as dentures or bridges. But from a clinical point of view, they’re worth every penny.

Are there any other costs to expect for a single implant?

Yes, there are additional costs you’ll have to cover on top of the dental implant, which you may not have expected or budgeted for…

The cost of your consultation

The first additional cost to expect is your initial dental implant consultation with an implantologist to assess your suitability for treatment (this is because we need to check the viability of your bone density before placing). Consultations at our clinic cost £175.

The cost of a dental bone graft for an implant

If it’s found from this consultation that you have a lack of bone in the area we need to place the implant, then you’ll be recommended a bone graft to make dental implants viable. Dental bone grafts cost from £500.

The cost of a hygiene appointment

Your mouth must be clean and healthy to undergo implant surgery, ensuring a successful and infection-free placement. A hygiene appointment at our clinic costs £85.

Total treatment cost

The consultation, for example, is non-negotiable and is necessary to pursue with implants, which brings your total up to £2,975.

If then, you need a bone graft and a hygiene appointment, the total cost of your treatment would be £3,560.

The average UK costs

With cosmetic and implant dentistry, you’ll have to shop around – but do be aware of alarmingly low prices.

Dental implant costs in the UK are anywhere from £1,900-£3,000, depending on the implantologist, clinic, brand and length of procedure.

If you’ve been quoted on the high end of this spectrum, just double-check the brand of implant you’ll be receiving.

For example, here at Neyo Dental, we’ll likely offer Straumann implants for a single tooth (the best of the best).

Paying with dental implant finance

You’re more than welcome to ask to finance your single dental implant placement at our clinic in Burgess Hill.

We offer 0% finance, which is interest-free over 12 months. Deposits are optional, but the larger the deposit you place, the cheaper your monthly repayments will be. We also offer interest-bearing terms (9.9%) up to 60 months.

For a single dental implant with no deposit and interest-free over 12 months, you’ll pay £233 per month.

With a 20% deposit (£560), you’d pay £186 per month.

Discuss dental implant financing with a member of our team if you’re interested. You’ll have to answer a few typical questions in an application online, which takes under five minutes, to see if you’ll be approved.

However, don’t worry, it’s a soft check, so it won’t affect your credit score if you’re declined.
