What does the treatment involve?
We begin your metal brace treatment with an initial consultation in our specialist orthodontic practice. We assess your teeth, explain the treatment process and answer any questions you have for us.
We fix your custom metal brackets to the front surface of your teeth using strong dental adhesive, and carefully thread through the archwire that will start moving your teeth. You may feel some gentle pressure or soreness when you first have your braces fitted.
You return to our practice around every six weeks so we can check your progress and make adjustments to your brace to keep your straight smile on track. Once your treatment is complete, we check you are happy and fit you with a retainer to maintain your results.
