Paul Wigley Dental Techinician Read bio

Paul Wigley

Dental Techinician
GDC: 158607

Paul registered as a dental technician in 1997, studying a National Diploma in Dental Science and Technology at Lambeth College in London.
He started his career working with his father in a private crown and bridge laboratory in Lewes.

With an interest in selling, Paul moved on to a sales rep role for various companies for over ten years. Along the way, Paul made contacts with fellow technicians and, more importantly, picked up hints and tricks that would enable him to start his own business in an untapped area of dentistry… Mouthguards!

In 2013, Paul engaged with professional athletes and major sponsor Shock Doctor, where he was asked to make mouthguards for the Premiership rugby team Saracens. When this proved successful, he went on to help out the Samoans in the 2015 Rugby World Cup with custom-fitted mouthguards, and the Wales national team in the 2018 Six Nations.

Paul also visits local schools in the area and manufactures bespoke custom-fitted mouthguards for children who play Hockey and Rugby.
Paul, away from the dedication and technical side, understandably likes being outside; he enjoys cycling, skiing, and plays darts for a local social club.

He loves to cook, and so he’s been told he makes a wicked Spanish Tortilla!

And of all the things in life, he has four boys who he loves to spend precious time with as they grow up so fast!!
